This dress is one of my absolute favorite finds. I posted about it last year, styled with a black and white accessories; it's the sort of dress that lends itself well to a variety of different looks, though, since just by changing up the slip and the shoes you can take it in a totally different direction.
It feels a bit theatrical to run around with a parasol, but it came in quite handy the day that I shot these photos. It can be difficult to shoot in the bright, midday sun, but the parasol did a great job diffusing the harsh light. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough to keep the sun off my neck, and after a few hours walking around I did get a bit of a burn, but I guess I just need to be more diligent about reapplying my sunscreen.
Anyway... I've been feeling a little unmotivated lately. I love to get up early and take my photos while the rest of the world is still sleeping, but I've found it difficult lately to get myself out of bed at my usual hour. I suppose the motivation will come back eventually, but for the moment I think I need to find a little discipline to rely on instead.
