Ice Queen

Winter has to be the best time of the year for party dresses. Not that I don’t love a good summer sundress, but a wool dress with long sleeves, a full skirt, and some pretty embellishments at the neckline is hard to beat.

While I’m still scoping out places to take photos in the new neighborhood, today I opted to revisit an old favorite, the Field Museum. It’s just hard to beat a place like that, you know? And as a bonus, I was just down the street from a movie theater, so I got to see Aquaman with a friend afterwards! It’s a fun movie, if a bit dumb, so we had a great time.

In other news, it’s almost Christmas! For once I managed to get all of my shopping done fairly early. I’ve got one more quiet night at home, then it’s off to the in-laws for the celebrations. I didn’t get a chance to take much time off for the holidays, but I’ve got New Year’s Eve off, and I think I’ll take a little time in January to kick back and relax.
